I had such a lovely stay at this beautiful hotel with a view of the property. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and comfortable, although a bit cold at times. The Internet worked well. The service was exceptional when we arrived early; the staff were very helpful and friendly, making our check-in quick and efficient. The location is probably the best feature of this hotel, with stunning views of the mountains behind the lake and fantastic scenery overlooking one of the Killarney lakes.

The hotel had beautiful and very clean rooms with cozy fireplaces and lovely beds. However, the banging on the roof all night due to the wind was a bit disruptive. The service was amazing with staff always ready to advise on day trips and walks, but at times, some seemed a bit ignorant. While the location was great for exploring the region and offered stunning views, I had higher expectations in terms of staff attentiveness and the overall newness of the surroundings. The dining experience was pure class with plentiful and delicious meals, even though there was room for improvement. Overall, a relaxing stay with some minor drawbacks.

The hotel had rooms of a very high standard with a few extra touches that make it that little bit more special. The sitting area and fireplace to share an evening drink over the lounge's patio and the lounge's picnic table area were lovely additions. However, the room I received was too small, and the heating was not functioning properly even after asking. The price seemed overpriced for the value offered.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were clean, large, and very comfortable, but being on the 1st floor meant not being able to keep the patio door open. The new part of the hotel location required a long walk and two elevators, which was a bit inconvenient.

Service

The staff were very friendly, from reception to bar and accommodation staff. They were very obliging and even offered tea and coffee proactively. However, there was a slight hiccup at the bar where some staff appeared aloof or even rude, except for one English gentleman whose name I can't recall.
Location

The location was stunning with mind-blowing views across Lough Leane. I enjoyed seeing the local wildlife outside the windows in the evening.
Dining

The dining experience was excellent with a great choice on the menu. The staff were efficient and friendly, and the food was hot, varied, and plentiful. However, the world-famous seasoned fries were a letdown.
Facilities

The facilities were very nice with scenic views of a ruined castle and lake from many bedroom windows. However, it would have been more convenient if the 1st-floor rooms had easier access to keep the patio door open.

Upon arrival, the room change we requested was impressive with a huge jacuzzi bath, balcony, and seating area, providing ample space for our family of 3. The room did get exceptionally hot initially due to direct sunlight exposure throughout the day. The service, especially in the dining areas, was amazing, with kind and welcoming staff. The location was perfect, right in front of the lake and national park, offering magnificent views. The dining experience was excellent, with hot and varied options, though the cooked breakfast was sometimes on the cold side. Overall, a great stay with a few minor drawbacks.

Staying at the hotel provides a beautiful view of the lake and a unique experience, but the rooms could use some modernization despite their comfort. The service was generally great, efficient, and professional, with a few minor exceptions. The location offers a perfect base for exploring the surrounding attractions, and the dining options were exceptional, especially in the morning.
